The full hot breakfast at Highland Haven is served each morning from 8:00am-10:00am in the historic Dailey Cabin, c. 1884. Each morning the main dishes rotate and include recipes from owner Gail Riley’s cookbook, Colorado Cravings. The staff creates egg dishes from vegetable stratas to bacon quiches and cheesy egg bakes. A variety of roasted potatoes are served alongside. Choices vary daily and may include baked oatmeal, local fruit crisps, chocolate croissants, cinnamon coffee cake, apple turnovers, blueberry muffins and made to order waffles and pancakes are among the offerings. Every breakfast includes fresh brewed hazelnut coffee, homemade granola and greek yogurt, juices, hot tea, and an assortment of bagels. Guests are welcome to enjoy their breakfast in the main cabin, the Champagne room, or in the summer the quaint back patio. Couples can bring their breakfast back to their room to be enjoyed fireside or on their balcony. Those that don’t want to leave their cozy rooms can have breakfast in bed delivered to their room for $40.
